Founded in 1986, by James & Darlene Yiznitsky, Interstate Custom Kitchen & Bath located in Chicopee, MA, has provided our Clients with top-quality design and renovation services. We are family owned and operated with a long history of skilled carpenters that spans three generations. We are Registered, Licensed, and Insured in both MA and CT. Since the beginning, we have taken great pride in our craftsmanship, customer service, and attention to detail which we provide the Client. Jim believes it is these three elements combined with the grace of God which has allowed this company not only to survive but to grow to the name it is today. Our goal at Interstate is to exceed our Client’s expectations in the areas of product knowledge, design ability, project management, and quality of installation.
Our team specializes in working with the client to develop specific design solutions for the project. Whether it is a countertop and backsplash, cabinet refacing, or complete new kitchen or bath, we will coordinate the entire project from concept to clean-up. We also extend our services to include closet systems, laundry rooms, libraries, bar areas, hardwood floors, and even windows and doors.
Our efforts to become one of the leading Kitchen and Bath designers in the area has not gone without recognition. We have been featured in Signature Kitchen & Bath Magazine, won the BBB Torch award for ethics in the marketplace, and have been voted Republican’s Reader Raves “Best Kitchen Designer” multiple times. Interstate Custom Kitchen & Bath, Inc. will oversee the entire job; communicating constantly between the Client and craftsmen in order for the project to be completed on schedule with total Client satisfaction.
Interstate Custom Kitchen & Bath, employs skilled craftsmen, and utilizes licensed and insured subcontractors for various trades in their projects to ensure the best quality work. We manage and collaborate the client’s project and work directly with our subcontractors. These trade professionals are a part of our “family,” as we have built a long-term relationship with them.
biography
Jim and Darlene Yiznitsky have spent a lifetime in the residential remodeling trade, and have owned Interstate since 1986. Jim holds his Contractor Supervisors License and personally manages operations. Darlene is the Accounts Manager. They are joined by their son, Joseph, and daughter-in-law, Sheena. Joe holds his Contractor Supervisors License and a BBA from the UMASS, Isenberg School of Business. Joe is the lead Design Associate as well as Project Manager. Sheena has her BA in Business and Certificate in Interior Design from Bay Path College. Sheena is the Purchasing Manager as well as a Design Associate. Together, the family at Interstate works passionately to help Clients create the Project of their dreams; while simultaneously providing an experience that is uniquely professional and enjoyable.
community involvement
Involvement in the immediate and extended community is a strong priority of Interstate. We have sponsored West Springfield Park and Rec. sports since 1995. In 2011 when the tornado devastated Western Ma, Interstate closed its offices, used their trucks and equipment, and paid their employees to assist with the cleanup. Interstate makes regular annual donations to the Chicopee Fire Dept. and the Massachusetts State Police. Interstate also supports several international missionaries.
